I would just like to introduce myself as one of the “Head Stewards” of TEAM PERKA.  Sure we are a business and corporation by normal structures and standards.  But since my Dad passed away, who was also our original founder, I have come to realize that there are allot more important things in life than hierarchies, social structures, negotiating, competition and “bottom lines”…

Sure we have a great product at a great price.  But more than that we are trying to break through old paradigm thinkings of just making a living with our buildings… To TEAM PERKA - our products are a means to a way of allowing our collective creativity to come together to provide solutions to particular needs or wants, including being part of the solution to our Earth’s present day challenges of sustainability.

So more than just providing a dozen different high quality steel truss and frame models with hundreds of permutations of loads and sizes, we wish to offer experience, flexibility and most importantly a willingness to work WITH YOU to arrive at the best answer to your building need.

This Blog invites you to ask general questions about what, where, how and even why we do or choose certain things about buildings.  IT IS AN OPEN BLOG.  We can all share our ideas, opinions and commentaries.  The intention here is to allow for coherent collective “thinking” to arrive at an ‘as well informed’ decision as we possibly can.

It is in a spirit of collaboration and cooperation that we intend to co-create a better world… not just through our buildings - but through our relationships and our growing awareness of how connected we actually are - regardless of where we’re from, what we do, or even “who” we are as far as labels and titles go.

Our world is at a crossroad.  We can choose to continue to COMPETE amongst ourselves, thinking and acting in self serving ways - or COOPERATE and approach our future with a selfless perspective that truly exemplifies the Global Community that we have become.

We are not the Rat Race - WE ARE THE HUMAN RACE.

And we’re not Human Doings - WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS…
